Limited series of mazes in 2 colours finished in a 23kt gold heart. 

Mazes and labyrinths are an important part of human history. The labyrinth has its history stretching back thousands of years. These winding paths were often part of a spiritual experience and date back thousands of years. The mazes that we are most familiar with began around 600 years and are often attributed to the wealthy and affluent who would place them in their estates. The most famous and oldest surviving maze that we know of is in Hampton Court.

The maze as a metaphor is more pertinent than ever. We are all trying to find our way in this world, to navigate our daily or long term difficulties, situations and to work our way towards our aspirations, ambitions, love and happiness. 

This body of work combines my love of colour, geometry, the hand made and the digital processes involved in contemporary printmaking. 

Each maze is generate through a curated algorithmic process, then prepared, printed and gilded by hand.
